Start by venturing into the vibrant city of Hanoi, capital of the country where Mr Peuss will reveal all his secrets. Meet the ethnic minorities of Mai Chau and admire the incredible landscapes of the Pu Luong region, before discovering Ninh Binh, the famous inland Halong Bay.
During your visit of Hue, the ancient historical capital, discover the local gastronomy on a food tour with Arnauld before discovering the town of Hoi An admiring its superb architecture in the light of lanterns.
Finish your discovery of Vietnam by immersing yourself in the kartish formations of the famous Halong Bay, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 1 | Hanoi
Our English-speaking driver welcomes you at the airport to take you to the hotel. You will then receive our Travel Book with useful information and restaurant recommendations for your trip and your eSim.
In the afternoon discover the old quarter on foot.
Day 2 | Hanoi | B, L
Our English-speaking tour guide meets you around 9 a.m.
Dive into the atmosphere of Hanoi in the 36-guild district during a cyclo ride.
Take a gourmet break and enjoy the egg coffee, a specialty of the city.
Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda on the shores of Ho Tay Lake.
After lunch, discover the Ethnography Museum.
Day 3 | Hanoi - Mai Hich | B, L, D
Our French-speaking tour guide meets you at your hotel arround 8 a.m. to take the road to Mai Hich via the village of Hoa Binh.
Stop at the top of the pass to enjoy the panoramic view of the Mai Chau valley. Then continue the journey to the village of Mai Chau, home of the White Thais ethnic minority, whom you meet during you lunch with the locals. Cycle through the rice fields to discover the villages of the region and the daily life of the White Thais.
Continue your journey to Mai Hich by car before a 2-hour walk through the rice fields that will take you to your host’s for dinner and overnight at the homestay.
Day 4 | Mai Hich - Pu Luong | B, D
After brekafast, around 8.30 a.m., leave your host to go to Pu Luong. Discover the local life during a 2-3 hour walk through rice fields and small paths taken by farmers, then lunch (not included) à la carte in a local restaurant overlooking the Pu Luong Valley.
Then, transfer to your hotel to relax by the pool or as desired, possibility to continue your walk and dinner at the hotel.
Day 5 | Pu Luong - Tam Coc | B, L
After breakfast, drive to discover a waterfall in the region. Relaxation by the water and 1-hour walk before lunch with the local.
Enjoy a ride on a bamboo raft of the region before taking the road to Tam Coc where you will arrive in the late afternoon.
Day 6 | Tam Coc | B, L
Departure from the hotel around 9 a.m. with our French-speaking tour guide.
Enjoy a 2-hour cruise on a small sampan, in the middle of the limestones. Let yourself be carried away by the magic of the place, admire the green rice fields and the mountains carved out of caves.
Admire the incredible panorama of the area from Mua Cave.
After lunch, discover another architectural wonder, Bai Dinh Pagoda.
Day 7 | Tam Coc - Hue | B
Departure from the hotel around 9 a.m. to admire the Bich Dong Pagoda, a Buddhist sanctuary in the middle of nowhere, built against the rock, in a splendid green setting. Then discover the Pham Diem Cathedral.
In the evening, around 8 p.m., transfer to the station for the night train to Hue.
Day 8 | Tam Coc - Tu Long Bay | B, L, D
Departure around 7 a.m. for the port of Ha Long.
On the boat, start your cruise with the lunch in the middle of the impressive rocky peaks of Lan Ha Bay.
In the afternoon, a kayak tour will immerse you in the magnificent landscapes of the bay near Cap La Island.
At the end of the day, admire the amazing sunset igniting the bay before dinner. Then discover squid fishing after dinner or relax with some board games, perfect for a family evening.
Day 9 | Tu Long Bay - Hue | B, L
If you are an early riser, marvel at the splendor of the sunrise over the immensity of the bay during a Tai Chi session.
After breakfast, discover Thienh Canh Son Cave.
Come back to the boat for check out and lunch, then return to the harbor to take the road to Hanoi where you arrive around 3 p.m.
In the evening, night train to Hue.
Day 10 | Hue | L, D
Our French-speaking tour guide will meet you at the station upon your arrival to embark on a traditional dragon boat.
Cruise on the Perfume River and let yourself be carried by the stream to the marvelous Thien Mu Pagoda.
Then, go to visit the Imperial City.
After lunch, go to the countryside of Hue to discover the history of the Tomb of Tu Duc and to walk the paths of its gardens in the middle of the bodies of water. Then, make a photo break at the incense village and go back to the hotel.

In the evening, Arnauld will meet you at the hotel around 6 p.m. Go with him to the city center to discover the street gastronomy of Hue with its many local specialties and enjoy a ride by bike.
This will be an opportunity for you to discover more about the life of French immigrants in Vietnam and enjoy a moment of sharing and food tasting.
Discover the famous Nem Lui or the Banh Khoai or savor the Hue cakes made from rice or cassava flour. Try the famous Bun Bo. Let yourself be tempted by a Che, this sweet dessert typical of Vietnam….
Day 11 | Hue - Hoi An | B
Departure from your hotel around 9 a.m. with our English-speaking driver.
Take the road to Hoi An and enjoy a photo break at the Lang Co Lagoon.
Then from the Hai Van Pass, contemplate the region’s sumptuous landscapes, with its lush forests and panoramic sea views.
Then make a stop at the Marble Mountain and venture out on this solitary limestone, at the southern edge of Danang which houses a complex of caves and pagodas before arriving in Hoi An.
Day 12 | Hoi An | B, L
Departure around 8.15 a.m. with our French-speaking tour guide for a bike ride in the countryside of Hoi An.
Cross the Thu Bon River to reach the village of Kim Bong where you will meet the wood carvers. Also discover the work of mother of pearl, the manufacture of mats and the weaving of the famous basket boats.
Finally join Cam Thanh for a basket boat ride amidst mangrove before lunch. First discover the preparation of the banh xeo then enjoy a foot massage.
Go back to the hotel after lunch.
Day 13 | Hoi An | B, L
After breakfast, around 9 a.m., our driver and our French-speaking guide will meet you at your hotel to visit the old sanctuary of My Son.
After an hour’s drive through the countryside and rice fields, the "little Angkor of Vietnam", built by the Cham people in the 4th century and lasting until the 13th century, is revealed to you in its natural setting.
It highlights the remains of this civilization in a very natural setting.
GO back to Hoi An after lunch.
Day 14 | Hoi An - Hanoi | B
End of the trip with Mr Peuss. Transfer to Danang airport for flight to Hanoi and transfer to hotel.
Day 15 | Hanoi - Return flight | B
Transfer to Hanoi airport for your return flight

How to book this trip
- Pre-booking by contacting Mr Peuss or Arnauld by email mentioning the number of people and a copy of the passport, specifying if you want to apply the single room supplement.
- We will contact you as soon as there are 8 confirmed participants or at the latest end of April to assist you in the purchase of your international flights and a deposit of 650 € must be paid.
- The balance will be settled no later than 40 days before the start of the trip
- In case of arrival in Vietnam before the start of the trip, the supplement is 80 € per room per night (can accommodate 2 people). If you want to stay longer in Hoi An the return flight to Hanoi and the night in Hanoi will be shifted and the supplement is 60 € per room per night in Hoi An (can accommodate 2 people).
