Planning of a 2-day visit in the Mekong

This 2-day tour of the Mekong Delta immerses you in a fascinating aquatic world, between peaceful canals, floating markets and artisanal villages.
Accompanied by a French-speaking guide, you will discover the cultural and natural wealth of this region nicknamed "the rice loft of Vietnam".

Option 1: From Ho Chi Minh to the floating market of Cai Rang and the discovery of coconut culture

Day 1 - Ben Tre, between rivers and local crafts

Leave around 8:30 a.m. from Ho Chi Minh City with our English speaking guide in the direction of the province of to go to Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta.

This city on the banks of the Mekong is full of diverse local activities. First visit the brickworks and then discover the work of the coconut before boarding a boat to navigate the meanders of the Mekong and join the coconut candy factory. Then continue your visit by tuk tuk to see the local weaving before enjoying a meal to discover the flavors of the Mekong.

After lunch, travel through the arroyos in a small sampan to discover the small canals of the Mekong before discovering Vinh Long and learn about your host’s life and activities on the Mekong before preparing dinner with them, then overnight at home.

Day 2 - Floating market and local life in Can Tho

Morning wake up to the sound of the river and breakfast prepared by your hosts.
Then, departure with our English-speaking guide to Can Tho, the lively capital of the Mekong Delta.

Boarding for a cruise to the floating market of Cai Rang, the largest and most colorful in Vietnam.
Dozens of boats gather there every morning to exchange fruits, vegetables, flowers and fresh products in a joyful and typically Vietnamese atmosphere.

Your guide will explain how this unique market works, where each boat displays the product it sells on a pole.
A lively scene, full of smiles and tropical scents.

Continuation of the visit with a stop in a rice noodle workshop, before lunch at a local restaurant.
Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon, arrival scheduled for the end of the day

Option 2: Discovery of Vietnamese chocolate making

Day 1 - From coconut to cocoa, sensory journey to Ben Tre

Departure around 8:30 a.m. from Ho Chi Minh City towards the province of Tien Giang, in the heart of the Mekong Delta.
Accompanied by our English-speaking guide, discover a local cocoa farm to explore all the stages of Vietnamese chocolate making.

From harvesting pods to roasting beans, up to creating a chocolate bar, you will follow a unique artisanal process, passed on with passion by the producers.
You will have the opportunity to taste several varieties of chocolate, observe processing techniques and even participate in some stages: picking a pod, planting a young cocoa tree or making your own cocoa treat.

After a traditional lunch in a local house, drive to your homestay by the Mekong.
Welcome by your host, then departure by bycicle for a ride through the surrounding villages and tropical orchards.
A peaceful moment to soak up the rural life of the delta, before sharing a friendly family dinner.

Night with the locals - authentic immersion and sharing in the heart of the Mekong.

Day 2 - Crafts and local life in the Mekong delta

After breakfast, departure with our English-speaking guide to the neighboring province of Ben Tre, nicknamed "the country of coconut trees".
This region, crossed by countless arms of the Mekong, is renowned for its traditional crafts and peaceful atmosphere.

Embark on a boat trip along the canals lined with water palm trees, and discover several local workshops:

• A traditional brickworks, where workers perpetuate ancestral techniques,
• A coconut candy workshop, an iconic sweet specialty of the delta,
• A mat weaving workshop, symbol of Vietnamese manual know-how,
• And a village of bonsai, a true haven of peace and vegetal elegance.

Have lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon.
