An authentic homestay experience
Staying with a local in Sapa is much more than just accommodation: it’s a true sharing of life, an immersion in the human warmth and traditions of North Vietnam.
Local families, often from the red Dao or black Hmong ethnic groups, welcome travelers as passing friends, around a carefully prepared meal made with produce from the garden and market.
In the evening, you share a traditional Vietnamese dinner composed of simple and tasty dishes: garden vegetables, fragrant rice, caramelized pork, fresh tofu or simmered chicken.
Around the fire, exchanges are done in a good mood, punctuated with smiles, anecdotes and sometimes a small glass of rice alcohol, symbol of hospitality.
One of the highlights of this
The night takes place in a wooden house on stilts, with simple but authentic comfort, where the silence of the mountains replaces the noise of the cities. Waking up is done at rooster crow, with a cup of green tea or a local coffee facing the morning mists that envelop the rice fields.
