How to get to Sapa?

Sapa, located in the heart of the mountains of northern Vietnam, is easily accessible from Hanoi. Several options are available:

Limousine bus: Departure at about 2 p.m. from Hanoi, arrival at about 8 p.m. in Sapa. Ideal if you are already in the capital.
Night train: A picturesque option, perfect if you are finishing a cruise in the Halong Bay or want a full day in Hanoi. The train arrives at Lao Cai, from where a transfer to Sapa is necessary.
Private car with driver: Flexible solution, ideal if you arrive directly at the airport of Hanoi. You can combine the trip with a visit to the village of Duong Lam.

When to visit North Vietnam?
