Secret Cocktail Experience

Secret Cocktail Experience: a night immersion in the hidden bars of Hoi An

When night falls on Hoi An and the lanterns light up in a golden halo, the city reveals a completely different face: mysterious, intimate and resolutely captivating. It is in this timeless atmosphere that the Secret Cocktail Experience takes place, a unique nocturnal journey through discreet and hidden bars, often invisible to the unsuspecting visitor.

Guided by a passionate local host, you enter confidential addresses where Vietnamese mixology finds its full expression. Each stop offers you a signature cocktail made with carefully selected ingredients: local aromatic herbs, edible flowers, artisanal liqueurs, tropical infusions… Bold creations that tell the story of Hoi An, its past as a merchant port, and the richness of its cultural influences – Vietnamese, Japanese, Chinese and European.

As the evening progresses, you stroll through the narrow streets of the old town, pass through hidden doors, take secret stairs and discover unexpected places: a bar hidden behind an art gallery, a speakeasy with dim lighting, a confidential rooftop or even a space decorated with ancient lanterns. At each stop, a new decor, a distinct atmosphere and a new meeting with the creative soul of Hoi An.

More than a tasting, the Secret Cocktail Experience is a real cultural exploration, where one enjoys as much the drinks as the stories, anecdotes and human exchanges. A refined interlude, ideal for couples, curious travelers and lovers of beautiful night-time experiences seeking to discover Hoi An from an original and sophisticated angle.

For some time, the Vietnamese have created many “hidden” and unusual bars and cafes with a neat and innovative interior decoration where they display their expertise in mixology by reworking for example the traditional soup Pho in the form of cocktail.

Vegetarian cuisine in Vietnam – a tasty and bright tradition

In Vietnam, vegetarian cuisine is not a recent trend: it is an integral part of the culture, deeply linked to Buddhism, spirituality and the Vietnamese way of life. As soon as you push the door of a temple, a small local restaurant or a traditional house, you discover a universe of delicate flavors, natural ingredients and dishes shaped with an astonishing harmony.

Here, eating vegetarian is synonymous with purity, simplicity and respect for nature. The Vietnamese use fresh herbs, vegetables, tofu and mushrooms with incomparable talent, turning every dish into a healthy, fragrant and refined experience. The banana leaves serve as a showcase, the broths are clear and aromatic, subtle textures: everything is designed to enhance the freshness of the products and the balance of flavors.

In the morning markets, stalls overflow with bright vegetables, fragrant roots, herbs with captivating scents. The pho chay, vegetarian soup with light tones, rubs shoulders with meatless bánh cuốn, cơm chay, vegetable grills, sweet curries inspired by the center of the country, or spring rolls made from tofu and crunchy vegetables. Each region brings its touch, its accent, its soul.

What makes Vietnamese vegetarian cuisine so fabulous is its ability to be both simple and subtle, humble and deeply creative. Without artifice, it reveals the very essence of Vietnamese gastronomy: freshness, harmony, balance, respect for life.

For travelers, it is a real invitation to discover the country differently, through authentic flavors, bright and surprisingly varied. A sweet and inspiring way to be carried away by the culinary wealth of Vietnam – while savoring the present moment, in full consciousness.

The Precious Heritage Museum in Hoi An: a journey through the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam

In the heart of the historic center of Hội An, in the old French quarter, a small yellow house hides one of the most amazing places in Vietnam: the Precious Heritage  Museum in Hoi An, founded by the French artist Réhahn. This free museum, open every day from 8am to 8pm, is a real immersion in the cultural diversity of the country. In one place, you can travel ten years of exploration through the mountains, rice fields and remote villages, to meet the 54 ethnic groups that make up the human mosaic of Vietnam.

The experience is nothing like a traditional museum. Here, we don’t just look at objects behind windows. We enter a living universe, made of stories, faces, and colors. Each room tells about encounters, moments shared between the artist and the inhabitants of the most isolated regions of the country. The portraits are accompanied by authentic traditional costumes, often donated by the families themselves, as well as explanatory texts in French, English and Vietnamese.

A unique project born from a decade of adventures

The Precious Heritage Museum is the result of more than ten years of work. Réhahn criss-crossed the country from north to south on a motorcycle, often for several weeks in a row, to document the traditions, outfits and languages of these communities. Some of them have barely a few hundred members, and several traditions are now disappearing due to modernization. This fieldwork, carried out with patience and respect, has made it possible to build an exceptional collection of portraits and traditional clothing, some now untraceable elsewhere.

This project, started in 2010 and inaugurated as a museum in 2017, has a simple but essential ambition: to preserve the living memory of Vietnam. In a country in full transformation, where cities grow at breakneck speed, the Precious Heritage Museum offers a parenthesis of slowness and depth. One discovers the richness of an often unknown heritage, and the beauty of cultures that have crossed centuries.

A lively place accessible to all

The museum is also distinguished by its opening. It is free for all visitors and open 7 days a week, from 8 a.m to 8 p.m, without interruption. This accessibility is an integral part of Réhahn’s philosophy: art and culture must be shared, not reserved for an elite. Families, lonely travelers, children, expatriates. Everyone finds their place there.

For the younger ones, the museum offers a free exploration game that transforms the visit into an adventure. Equipped with a small UV lamp, the children go in search of hidden drawings in the different rooms. These patterns invisible to the naked eye appear only under the purple light, like a secret to be discovered. It’s a fun way to learn, to look carefully, and to marvel at the creativity that hides in every detail.

Families particularly appreciate this immersive approach: while children have fun playing the explorers, parents can take the time to admire the works and read the stories that accompany the portraits.

A meeting between France and Vietnam

The museum is also a reflection of the career of Réhahn, a French artist who has been living in Vietnam for more than fifteen years. Originally from Normandy, he found in Hội An a balance between his European roots and his love for Asia. His artistic approach is part of a form of photographic humanism: showing the beauty, dignity and diversity of peoples, without staging or artifice.

Visitors find this French sensibility combined with a deep affection for Vietnam. The museum itself is located in an old Vietnamese house in the historic center, carefully restored. Its ochre walls, its dark wooden beams and its windows open on the flowery alleys contribute to this soothing atmosphere, almost out of time.

Why you should absolutely visit the Precious Heritage Museum

Visiting the Precious Heritage Museum is experiencing a journey within a journey. It is a human and cultural experience, but also an aesthetic one. The photos on display are strikingly beautiful, playing with natural light and the textures of traditional costumes. Many visitors describe the place as a favorite of their stay in Hội An, an inspiring stop after walks in the old town and markets.

For photography enthusiasts, it is a look lesson: how to capture the light, the movement, the emotion of an instant. For those curious about culture, it is a dive into the complexity of contemporary Vietnam, between tradition and modernity.

Finally, for families, it is an accessible visit, free, and full of meaning. Children emerge proud of their discoveries, parents enrich with new knowledge, and everyone takes away a little of this precious memory that gives the museum its name.

Exclusive experiences for newlyweds

After celebrating your wedding, surrounded by your loved ones, you chose to seal your union with the unique experience of an initiatory trip to Vietnam. This blessed time of “the honeymoon” is a separate bubble, which we want to sacralize through unforgettable moments for two.

Thus, for the organization of this precious trip, we offer you three options:

  1. Take the time to plan it according to your tastes and desires; draw on your readings, browse through our entire offer and let us know your choices for an overall composition
  2. Prove to the chosen one of your heart that they have no secrets for you; surprise and seduce them by organizing the trip without their knowledge, with our complicit support
  3. Go on a “carte blanche” trip, which we take the entire initiative with the support of your best friends: a romantic surprise for both! (Our favorite option for sure, because we like custom challenges, closer to personalities).

Between cultural, natural and intangible heritage, Vietnam is full of treasures, from the most emblematic to the most confidential. We will plan for you unforgettable moments of relaxation, discovery, and unexpected encounters in exceptional settings, during the day and evening…

For a trip of 14 days and 13 nights,

  • Discover Hanoi, a lively and elegant capital, renowned for both its gastronomy and its rich heritage. Between temples and pagodas, historical monuments and millenary shopping district, you will be seduced by its charm and its bubbling where each street scene is an unfulfilled spectacle of Vietnamese life
  • Then enjoy an unforgettable cruise in Halong Bay, a natural gem of Vietnam with 2,000 limestone islets emerging from the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Tonkin. The Nostalgia is a luxurious 10-cabin boutique boat, unique in its kind as it traces the history of the Nguyen dynasty, with its imperial architecture
  • Stop in Hue, the ancient capital of Vietnam whose refined temples and gardens of the Citadel and the architectural diversity of the imperial tombs will captivate you. Admire the sunset on a romantic cruise on the Perfume River, lose yourself in the Forbidden Purple City to soak up the life of the elite and roam the countryside at ostentatious mausoleums
  • Finally, end your stay in a superb guest house of French charm hidden in the middle of rice fields to enjoy the charm of Hoi An, city of thousands of colorful lanterns, fascinating at night. Once a major merchant port, the UNESCO World Heritage Old Town is an open-air museum with its merchants’ houses, Chinese temples…. Let yourself be seduced by its old-fashioned ochres as you wander and enjoy fragrant culinary experiences

153/450 Throughout your stay, and in each city you will visit, we will surprise you by the organization of intimate and singular moments, just for you.

NB: If you have a few extra days, take the time to meet the ethnic minorities of the North. In addition, for a longer stay, the extension of your trip to the South is worth a look. Between the meanders of the Mekong Delta, the modern Ho Chi Minh, the beaches of Phu Quoc, the crossing of the jungle of Cat Tien and the cultivated plateaus of the rich city of Dalat, Cochinchine reveals many other faces of Vietnam.

From the first moment, the country envelops you in its golden light, its sincere smiles, its landscapes that oscillate between endless rice fields, mysterious forests and villages on stilts to the rhythm of the Mekong.

Cambodia discovers itself as a treasure patiently carved by history.
